Troy besucht Gabriella in Stanford und versteckt sich in einen Baum, weil er sie überraschen will. Er springt herrunter und zusammen fangen sie an zu singen und zu tanzen. Das Lied fängt damit an,dass Troy sagt : “Take my hand…I’ll take the lead.”

Zwar gibt es am Anfang ein paar Komplikationen zwischen den beiden,aber am Ende wird in jedem guten Kitsch-Film ein Happy-End gezeigt!
